Nancy's Birthday Party

Last Friday night Lily, Chris, and I went over to Nancy's house for her 50th birthday party. Nancy's the one in purple.

Lily quickly made her way to the back part of the yard, where she forced Chris into servitude as her her personal entertainment.
It started with a modified version of ring around the rosie. Instead of holding hands and walking in circles, Lily had Chris hold her hands and lift her up, then twirl around with her in the air.

You can imagine that swinging a 38-pound toddler around in 80 degree weather gets a little exhausting.

So they took a little break to think up their next activity.

Lily's new plan was that she would run from the high part of the yard to the low part of the yard and fling herself at Chris, who would then lift her up into the air like an airplane.

Lucky Chris.

  1. I couldn't take my eyes off that dazzeling outfit! I don't know if it was the multi-colored-striped-leggings, or the rainbo shirt, that made that pink gauzy party dress look so good. Man, that child has style with a capital "S"!

  2. If I was three, I'd wear that outfit every damn day. The leggings! The tutu! It's basically the best thing I've ever seen.

  3. Showed this to Ben and he was mesmerized. At the end he said "Lily silly."
