When the Moon Hits Your Eye

Friday night Lily and I met up with Emily, Thomas, and Connor at Scarpa's (a local Italian place) for some dinner. Hilarity ensued:

• Connor and Lily seem to think the highest form of humor is when Lily says something silly, Connor repeats it, and they both laugh at length.
• At one point Thomas took Connor with him to the bathroom, and on their walk back to our table Connor was proudly (and loudly) announcing that his dada had put his pee-pee in the potty.
• Bringing a little gravity to the meal, Lily looked earnestly at Emily, put one hand on my shoulder to gesture to me, and said, "This is my best friend."
• Lily told me she loved me to the moon and back. I told her I loved her to the sky and back. She told me she loved me to the tractor and back. (I don't know where she got that one. Connor conflated those things in his head and started to ask to see "the tractor in the sky." He brought it up throughout the meal, as well as one final time on our way out the door.
