Uh-Oh
We seem to be developing a little bit of a problem -- the dreaded "nipple confusion" I was warned about. It seems that Lily has gotten accustomed to drinking out of a bottle (where she doesn't have to work as hard), and is getting cranky with me when I try to breastfeed her (where she actually has to suck to get the milk out). It's not so bad first thing in the morning, when she's nice and awake, but if she's at all sleepy she gets very cranky when I make her work for her food. This afternoon it was enough of an issue that I put the breast milk in a bottle for her.

How's the pumping going? I'm still waiting for my boobs to get fantastically ginormous.
ReplyDeleteThe pumping is working out really well. It's a godsend to be able to send her off to daycare every day with breast milk.
ReplyDeleteI don't even know what the right descriptor would be for my boobs. My cup size is somewhere between a G and an H these days. Seriously. A G when I've just pumped or Lily has just eaten, an H if it's been a while.
I went from a DD to a DDD when I had Jack and since I had Tucker I am now JJ. It sucks and some days I would like to saw them off with a hacksaw.
